Newspaper Marking

The assigned newspapers are marked in accordance with the clipping files’ list on a daily basis.
Chronology

The assigned chronology is prepared within stipulated time on a day-to-day basis. Full information is to be given in each entry, including place, names, official designations, occasion or source of the news. All news items which relate to Pakistan’s foreign relations, including foreign visits; policy statements; agreements/MoUs signed; meetings with foreign dignitaries; joint statements, joint press briefings; aid or tranches received or announced are covered in chronology.
Survey
The quarterly survey of Pakistan’s foreign policy covers brief analyses of high-level foreign visits, summits, summit meetings, conferences and important rounds of talks. The survey focuses on Pakistan’s foreign policy issues and its relations with other countries and international organisations, such as the Sir Creek or Siachen issues with India; Refugee issue with Afghanistan or free trade agreement with the European Union. The quarterly survey is analytical, comprehensive and precise.
Book Reviews Recent books relating to international affairs, global developments, security concerns and Pakistan’s foreign policy are reviewed for publication in Pakistan Horizon.
Document

Documents relating to Paksitan’s foreign policy and international developments, including treaties, policy statements, bilateral agreements, joint statements, addresses, speeches, interviews and joint press briefings are accessed particularly from official websites such as


www.presidentofpakistan.gov.pk or www.meaindia.nic.in.
Research Assistance

•The incumbent may be required to assist senior researchers or senior officials at the
Institute in their research projects.


•She or he may also be required to entertain research queries which the Research Section receives from outside the Institute, particularly from scholars and journalists.
